The tallest of west coast anemones, the giant plumose is easy to find attached to docks or pilings. This anemone can grow to be about a meter tall!
Most commonly white, it can also be a pinkish orange or tan/brown.
This anemone oral surface (top) is deeply lobed (like a brain) and covered with hundreds of delicate tentacles.
